Freemans

My favourite hangout in New York, without a doubt, is Freemans on Freeman Alley, close to Bowery in Lower Manhattan. It is jam packed with gorgeous people with an effortless cool attitude about themselves. Besides the beautiful crowd and waiters, the drinks are a must, specially French 65(champagne with dry tonic and fizzy water), and the menu is just a delight. My recommendation for all of you, if you eat meat of course, would be the seared Filet Mignon with roasted onion, mashed potatoes and horseradish cream...YUMMY! It makes my watering mouth go bananas! If you have a chance, pop by and enjoy both the view and the food. http://freemansrestaurant.com/

Björk videos

Not only she has the voice of a mermaid, but her aesthetics on videoclips are to die for. Always collaborating with new and upcoming film makers, she is willing to take a risk in her image, knowing that the first impact is what really counts. Here are just a short example of what she is capable of orchestrate. I do hope you enjoy her Icelandic lunacy like I do. Bjórk you are so much better off without those sugar cubes...Blind the world with your talent!

Monica Vitti

Michelangelo Antonioni´s muse, is an inspiration for all of us. Born in Rome in 1931, she is as secretive with her private life as she is with her real name, Maria Luisa Ceciarelli. Her intensity and way of acting in front of the camera, landed her impeccable roles like the ones on L`Aventura, La Notte or Deserto Rosso, all of this movies directed by her rumored lover Antonioni. A great dresser and with thick voluminous blonde hair, she epitomizes the perfect Sixties Donna that all of the women aspire to be, no wonder she was featured in all the Italian Vogues of that era!... And God created Monica...!

Nerds

They have always been my favourite gang at school. Cool and nonchalant, they wear trendy clothes without even knowing they are creating a new wave in style. Indispensable the geeky glasses and weirdo attitude, this quiet rebels always turn out to be models, computer programmers, artists or skateboarders and manipulate media and social circles. Great example the dorky Daria from MTV, a grand nerd in a major manner. Unfortunately I have never had a strong geeky look, therefor, I would never pull off a pair of masking tape glasses and colour clashing outfit. I heart all of you NERDS of the world!

Sun tan lines

Sun tan lines are the sexiest souvenir you can bring back home from your holydays! Your skin is marked by your swimsuit and the rest of your body glistens with a gold sun kissed shade. It is fabulous and fun, and what better thing to see on others when they get back from a fun seaside trip? This is an example of my Spring break trademark. If it is up to me, nudism is out of fashion!

Linda Evangelista

Born in Ontario in 1965, Linda Evangelista is my favourite supermodel. She is one of the main reasons why I wanted to study fashion, thinking that she was the only elegible model to work any look, even when throwing a bucket of rubbish on top of her, she will still manage to look flawless. Not only she marked a decade of change with other models like Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington, later known as the Trinity, but she loved her work so much, that you can felt through her eyes the passion she had for clothes and the hysterically glamorous world of fashion. On top of her game, she changed her hair colour at the speed of light and she became muse to various photographers and fashion designers such as Steven Meisel, Peter Lindberg, Karl Laguerfeld or the late Gianni Versace. Chamaleonic and quirky, she marked the late eighties and early nineties, epitomizing modernity and evolution, from a dusty generation of models who were merely hangers, with no ambition and no thousand dollar salaries to motivate them getting out of bed. Nowadays a mother of a gorgeous boy and still active in the modelling business, we will still have Linda for some time...Luckily for us! Linda you will always be my top of the pops!
