Born in Ontario in 1965, Linda Evangelista is my favourite supermodel. She is one of the main reasons why I wanted to study fashion, thinking that she was the only elegible model to work any look, even when throwing a bucket of rubbish on top of her, she will still manage to look flawless. Not only she marked a decade of change with other models like Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington, later known as the Trinity, but she loved her work so much, that you can felt through her eyes the passion she had for clothes and the hysterically glamorous world of fashion. On top of her game, she changed her hair colour at the speed of light and she became muse to various photographers and fashion designers such as Steven Meisel, Peter Lindberg, Karl Laguerfeld or the late Gianni Versace. Chamaleonic and quirky, she marked the late eighties and early nineties, epitomizing modernity and evolution, from a dusty generation of models who were merely hangers, with no ambition and no thousand dollar salaries to motivate them getting out of bed. Nowadays a mother of a gorgeous boy and still active in the modelling business, we will still have Linda for some time...Luckily for us! Linda you will always be my top of the pops!
