Linda Evangelista

Born in Ontario in 1965, Linda Evangelista is my favourite supermodel. She is one of the main reasons why I wanted to study fashion, thinking that she was the only elegible model to work any look, even when throwing a bucket of rubbish on top of her, she will still manage to look flawless. Not only she marked a decade of change with other models like Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington, later known as the Trinity, but she loved her work so much, that you can felt through her eyes the passion she had for clothes and the hysterically glamorous world of fashion. On top of her game, she changed her hair colour at the speed of light and she became muse to various photographers and fashion designers such as Steven Meisel, Peter Lindberg, Karl Laguerfeld or the late Gianni Versace. Chamaleonic and quirky, she marked the late eighties and early nineties, epitomizing modernity and evolution, from a dusty generation of models who were merely hangers, with no ambition and no thousand dollar salaries to motivate them getting out of bed. Nowadays a mother of a gorgeous boy and still active in the modelling business, we will still have Linda for some time...Luckily for us! Linda you will always be my top of the pops!

Luigi Tadini

This is what I call love at first sight...! Like the song, tall and tan and gorgeous the boy from Ipanema goes walking...Luigi Tadini is a 27 year old socialite and jewelry heir that hails from Brazil and lives in New York. Surrounded by rich kids, like Amanda and Lydia Hearst, and models, like Anna Beatriz, Tiiu or Alessandra de Ambrosio, is no wonder that this boy turned out to be a party animal! Always in the nightlife circuit, one of the down sides of this gorgeous young man, he still have time to have his photo taken by bloggers like Tommy Ton or Scott Schumman from The Sartorialist...Is no surprise since he is a great dresser, stylish without being too pretentious, and just with the right amount of feminity to not look like a sissi boy...Luigi you may not know this yet, but you will be my boyfriend, you wait and see...!

Marie Antoinette

My favourite character in history was born in Viena in a cold afternoon of November in 1755. Raised by two governess under the strict education of Empress Marie Therese, which  mainly consists on good hygine and a regime for strengthen her body built; She soon became the Dauphine of France by marrying the eldest grandson of the King of France, Louis XVI. Under pressure for leading the way of conceiving a heir for the French throne, she was also criticised for her Austrian upbringing and her rebelious feelings and actions against Madame du Barry(the King´s mistress) and the establishment in the royal court. Soon lovers blessed her routinary lifestyle and an era of extravaganza that made her worldly famous, thanks to over the top jewels, gambling soirĂ©s and trims, began. Once the Queen of France, the revolutionary society upraise against her for frivolities like an infamous sentence: "Let them have cake!"("Qu`ils mangent de la brioche!") and her back to nature attitude after loosing her third child, when the Trianon was given to her as a lovely present from her King to seclude herself from the ordinary and fatal world. The 16th of October of 1815 Marie Antoinette Josephine Joanne de Hasburg - Lorraine lost her head, thanks to the French guillotine, after suffering the inexperience of two young lawyers and being declared guilty at court. With such an interesting life is no wonder that Sofia Coppola chose her intriguing biography to based her latest film, loaded with controversy and booed across cinemas internationally. To me a masterpiece was filmed, with masturbatory images and refinement that did not need help from a  good dialogue.

Peonies

Peony is my favourite flower of all times...Poetic and multilayer, this gorgeous flowers are always on my list of things to buy on the weekends, arranging them in small bouquets around my house. David Hicks

Born In Essex in 1929, David Hicks has become my ultimate interior designer and of course one of my favourite dapper gents from all times. As classy for his work as for his innate elegant style, David Nightingale Hicks became the decorator of the decade during the 60´s using his panache for properties of jet setters from all over the world. His claim to fame was, without a doubt, his well trained eye for colour clashing and the ability to mix old British style with contemporary Scandinavian objects. Famous also for his bold geometric prints, even Christopher Bailey dedicated a whole collection in Spring Summer '06 for Burberry Prorsum. His death in 1998 left us heartbroken, pretty much like the way he died, a heart stroke and lung cancer left us without one of the dictators of refined good taste with a stroke of genius!

Cantonese Pop Boy Bands

In a land where shopping and eating is just a pleasure, I was oddly surprised to discover on the Chinese MTV this bands with trendy fellows and funky moves, but that is Asia for you, a land of surprises where you can either find Panda bears on the Airport Duty Free or very traditional Dim Sum dinner plates. Neon China Red lights guide you through the night with millions of people rushing in bicycles to their work and poorly spoken English compliments thrown at you... In other words  Hong Kong I love you!

Over the top Bijoux

Like a magpie, I have always been fascinated by everything that sparkles or shine, so it is only normal that this obsession evolved into eccentric and explicit jewelry. I have quite a huge collection of bold pieces, and what is even better, at work I create some of the most daring things to be sold on a high street label. I am leaving for Hong Kong and mainland China to develop some of this precious things, that is why I will be away for some time, but do not worry, I will be refreshed, inspired and loaded with great images for all of you... Do you think I could be a new age Iris Apfel?

Frida Gustavsson

Stockholm native Frida Gustavsson is the new tall princess of the runways worldwide. With a scary height (6"1= 1,83cm) and legs that never ends, she has dominated in a record of two seasons and with only seventeen years of age the world of fashion. She has led a troop of Swedish models that, like her, has turned all the backstages into a little Sweden, with Svenska spoken beauties like Dorothea, Sigrid, Ieva or Mirte among others. Why is she ahead of the wave? That is pretty simple to answer;  Her innate sense of style and her icy cold beauty makes her a safe bet while casting her for any major fashion show. She has also became one of my favourite girls to watch out for...Keep up the good work Frida!
